Virgin River has set an impressive Netflix record with its season 7 renewal.

According to Deadline, the streamer officially picked up the TV drama on Wednesday (October 23), nearly two months before its sixth season is due to premiere in December.

The streamer has ordered 10 more episodes of Virgin River, which makes it the longest-running scripted series currently in production for Netflix and the longest-running English-language drama ever for the streaming service.

With at least seven seasons now guaranteed, Virgin River surpasses Netflix dramas House of Cards and The Crown (which each had six seasons) and is just short of Spanish-language teen drama Elite's eight seasons.
