By Marc Webb has signed on to direct CBS's Limitless pilot.
The drama, a television sequel to the 2011 film starring Bradley Cooper, was initially supposed to be helmed by Neil Burger, who directed the original movie.
Burger, also attached to direct Showtime pilot Billions, withdrew as a result of scheduling issues, reports Deadline.
Webb is known for helming the Amazing Spider-Man films as well as (500) Days of Summer.
The TV adaptation of Limitless will focus on Brian Sinclair, who is forced into solving cases for the FBI using enhanced abilities acquired from taking the mysterious drug NZT.
Cooper is executive producing the project, alongside Burger, production company partner Todd Phillips, writer Craig Sweeny, Heather Kadin, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
However, Cooper is not expected to reprise his role from the original film.
