Bridget Regan has been cast in ABC's Agent Carter.
The Jane The Virgin actress will play Dottie, the neighbor of Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter.
Dottie, an Iowa native, is expected to play a vital role in Peggy's life, TV Line reports.
The eight-episode series will chronicle Peggy Carter living in America after the loss of Steve Rogers, working for the covert SSR while going on secret missions for Howard Stark.
The show will take over the time slot of Agents of SHIELD as the series goes on winter break.
Agent Carter has been given a premiere date of Tuesday, January 6 at 9/8c.
