Kyra Sedgwick is developing her own comedy with HBO.
The actress will play the role of Kate, a former nun who has an identity crisis after leaving the church.
She will not only star, but also serve as a co-executive producer on the untitled series.
The New Adventures of Old Christine creator Kari Lizer is also behind the half-hour, single-camera comedy.
Sedgwick previously portrayed the lead role in TNT's The Closer.
The wife of Kevin Bacon recently appeared in a guest role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
