Starz has decided to air its freshman drama Flesh and Bone as a limited series.
The retooling will not affect the show's script, Deadline reports.
Flesh and Bone chronicles a troubled dancer by the name of Claire, who joins a company in New York City and discovers a tough culture within the world of ballet.
Black Swan's Sarah Hay will play the role of Claire alongside Ben Daniels and Emily Tyra, who will also star.
The show is the creation of Breaking Bad writer Moira Walley-Beckett.
"Moira is one of the most talented auteurs in television today, and the work she and her team have done on Flesh and Bone is nothing short of spectacular," Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said.
Starz has ordered eight episodes of the dark drama series with a premiere yet to be announced.
