CBS's Scorpion will star Brendan Hines in a recurring role, it has been announced.
The Lie To Me actor, who has also made guest appearances in Suits and Scandal, will feature heavily in the upcoming tech thriller series.
Scorpion revolves around genius hacker Walter O'Brien (Elyes Gabel), who recruits other geniuses to help solve international security and terrorism problems. The socially-awkward team rely on Paige Dineen (Katharine McPhee), who has a young gifted son, to translate the real world.
Hines will star as Drew Winters - the father of Paige's genius child - who, according to TVLine, will "turn Paige's life upside down".
The producers of Scorpion recently said that the procedural thriller has a lot in common with The Big Bang Theory.
Scorpion premieres on September 22 on CBS. Watch a preview for the show below.
