Ruth Connell has been cast in the tenth season of Supernatural.
The Scottish actress will play the recurring role of Rowena, a mysterious witch looking to reclaim her power base, according to TVLine.
It will be the first major American television role for Connell, whose previous credits include A Perfect Ending and Folklore.
The upcoming season will also see Mark Sheppard become a series regular, portraying the demon Crowley.
Meanwhile, The CW has continued to express interest in a Supernatural spinoff, despite Bloodlines failing to secure a pickup.
"I would love to get a Supernatural spinoff done. I think it's a great franchise that's got a lot of legs to it," said CW president Mark Pedowitz.
