Sleepy Hollow has cast Victor Garber as Ichabod's father.

The Alias star has signed up to appear in a single episode as the father of Tom Mison's crime-fighter, TVLine reports.


However, Garber - who has also appeared on Damages and in the movie Argo - may recur in future episodes.

Sleepy Hollow's first season will span 13 episodes, but the supernatural drama was picked up for a second run in October.

Other notable guest stars on Sleepy Hollow include John Noble (Fringe) and James Frain (24, True Blood).

The series continues on Mondays at 9/8c on Fox and airs Wednesdays at 9pm on Universal channel in the UK.
