Strictly Come Dancing professional Alexis Warr has confirmed a split from husband Jake Burton. The dancer, who joined the BBC show last season, had been married to Jake since 2018, the pair having been high school sweethearts.
However, she has announced that they have chosen to separate, a decision they have "reached with a huge amount of love".
"Sorry I've been a bit MIA… sharing a personal update," Alexis began in her Instagram Stories.

"After much consideration and with the greatest respect for each other, Jake and I have made the decision to separate. Whilst this hasn’t been an easy decision, it has been reached with a huge amount of love and we’re each other’s biggest cheerleaders.
"We won't be commenting on this further and kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this life change together. Thank you, as always, for your support."

The pro is set to return to Strictly for the new season later this year, which has seen the exit of a number of dancers, including Michelle Tsiakkas, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Karen Hauer and Gorka Márquez.
The show is also getting a big change-up this year with new hosts Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe, who replace Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
Some of the celebrities have been unveiled too, with EastEnders' Lacey Turner, Eurovision star and singer Delta Goodrem, celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton, and Love Island's Dani Dyer confirmed so far.
Dani returns after being forced to withdraw last year due to an injury, and said of her comeback: "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September.
"I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I'm just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!"
Strictly Come Dancing will return to the BBC later this year.
