The Traitors season 4 finale is right around the corner (an extended episode on Friday (23 January) night, to be precise) and we're all wondering whether or not it's going to be a victory for the remaining Traitors, or the Faithful. The BBC series has been a twisty ride so far, giving us a sense that anything really can happen.
But, based on their current standing in the game and what we've seen up until this point, here's who from The Traitors' remaining cast is most likely to make it all the way and stand a chance to take the win...
8. Matthew
His days on the show feel numbered. It's quite clear that the Traitors don't want to recruit him (and if they do, it'll only serve them to throw him under the bus and immediately hand him over to the Faithful at the following round table).
Matthew is also very likely to be banished anyway. Suspicions from the Faithfuls have been bubbling away for a while, and that's without them even knowing that he's waiting in the wings for an invite to the turret.
7. James
Despite being a dedicated and passionate Faithful, and arguably one of the most entertaining for us watching at home, there's simply too much heat on him to make it through right until the end – especially after he admitted that he took that extra shield.
We doubt the Traitors will see him as a candidate for 'murder', but any remaining Faithfuls might see him as too much of a risk to keep when it comes to those final fire-lit votes.
What to Read Next
6. Jade
Poor Jade and her fabulous rainbow cardigan have had a difficult time in the castle, with her name repeatedly coming up during round table debates. The suspicions were, however, mostly coming from the directions of Amanda and then later Ellie, both of which have now gone home.
We also saw Jade open up to her fellow Faithfuls in the most recent episode after the pressure got a little too much. It was similar to what happened with Reece, who came under constant scrutiny only to be confirmed as a Faithful after all, so this might follow a similar path and prove to be a turning point for Jade in the game.
5. Stephen
It feels impossible to predict what's going to happen with Stephen, as he's had perhaps the most inconsistent game of any Traitor on the show. By his own admission, he's made a number of mistakes that could have cost him his place in the castle – but he has somehow always managed to turn it around just in time.
Will he ride out any remaining suspicions, and make it to the final? Will his loyalty to fellow Traitor Rachel stick until the end? Or will Stephen and his impeccable wardrobe get sent packing at the very last hurdle?
4. Rachel
If it's to be a Traitor win, it seems most likely that it'll go to Rachel. Despite there being a habit of someone spectacularly accusing her only to then get swiftly banished (Fiona, Harriet, we're looking at you…), the Faithfuls are completely oblivious to Rachel's impeccable game play.
She has started to make some bolder moves though, announcing to the group at breakfast that she'd 'found another one' (later accusing Ellie at the round table, only for her to *obviously* turn out to be another Faithful) and throwing a curveball at Faraaz completely out of nowhere. Bold moves are sometimes needed towards the end of the game, but is she suddenly doing too much?
We're also yet to see the outcome of the dagger twist, which could go either way for the turret dwellers… Could this be Rachel's undoing, or will she find another way to spin it in her favour? Only time will tell.
3. Faraaz
The smiling and unflappable contestant has won over everyone in the castle as well as those of us watching at home, and it seems quite clear that he's a Faithful through and through.
That being said, he's had the spotlight briefly shone on him by Rachel (although, granted, it's not really something that's been taken up by anyone else in the group). He's also one of the remaining caged players, which feeds into the theory that there had to be a Traitor among them. If they don't get Stephen to satisfy that idea once and for all, Faraaz could be in a bit of trouble before the game is through.
2. Jack
He's made it this far by flying under the radar, and hasn't really got much in the way of heat at the round tables. This puts him in a similar category to Roxy, which we'll get to in a moment, as an assumed solid Faithful, and it also helps that his closest ally in the castle is Stephen.
Jack has started to question whether this might be the reason he's been kept around, for a Traitor to go against him right at the last minute, so his standing in the game seems contingent on whether or not he'll pursue that gut feeling...
1. Roxy
She seems widely regarded by the group as being a Faithful – which can make you a target for 'murder', on the assumption that you'll never be banished.
That being said, Roxy is proving herself quite useful to Traitors Rachel and Stephen; she's vocal about her theories at the round table, but is never actually chasing a correct one. And despite having a sudden suspicion of Stephen, the moment quickly passed and she declared confidently to the whole group that she believes him to be a Faithful. As a result, it seems fairly likely that Roxy will be kept around.
The Traitors season 4 airs on BBC One and iPlayer.
