Celebrity Traitors spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on BBC One and stream on iPlayer.

The Celebrity Traitors brought us another jam-packed hour of dreadfully off-the-mark theories, the Faithfuls banishing one of their own, and Alan Carr barely keeping it together while totally avoiding detection.

But the episode kicked off with the murder of Charlotte Church — and she actually got a creepy little VT of a masked figure entering her room rather than just reading the letter.

But that wasn't the only interesting thing about her murder, as it actually led to a moment that left viewers quite confused.

In the episode's cash-building mission, the team had to answer multiple choice questions about the departed players. It led to some fun moments including learning that Paloma Faith was a ghost on a ghost train, and that Cat Burns didn't know who Helen Mirren was.

What to Read Next

The question in question read: "How old was Charlotte Church when she had her first UK No. 1?"

Jonathan Ross thankfully knew the answer was 12 years old, as he presented the Big, Big Talent Show which led to her big break.

However, people watching at home were left scratching their heads. Not about the answer, but the question itself.

"What is this question? Charlotte Church has quite simply never had a UK number one single or album," wrote one fan, while another said: "Who is doing your fact checking?"

"But Charlotte Church has never had a UK number one!? The closest was Crazy Chick which reached #2," a third fan posted, while another, very confident, viewer said: "Charlotte has never had a UK number one single OR album so their fact checking is shite."

What's going on here? Looking at the Official Charts Company's artist page for Charlotte, she indeed does not have any UK No. 1 singles or albums. So did the show actually make a mistake?

Well, only if you just focus the main charts that is...

On the page for her debut album Voice of an Angel, if you scroll down to the Official Classical Artist Albums Chart expanding tab you will see a big old number one there.

Interestingly, the album was released in November 1998, when Charlotte — born 21 February, 1986 — was 12. However, the Classical tab lists the first chart date as 23 October, 1999.

That would make her 13 at the time of reaching No. 1 for the first time. So if that first chart date for the Classical tab is correct, then the answer is technically wrong, although the album that eventually went to No. 1 was initially released when she was 12.

Either way, Charlotte Church did indeed have a No. 1 in the UK. Although people might write off genre specific charts, they are complied by the Official Charts Company, so they do count. The word Official is in the name, after all.

And, as one final fact, Charlotte actually has two No. 1 albums on that chart. Her second release, her self-titled album, topped the Classical Artist Albums Chart in November 1999 and stayed at No. 1 for a whopping 11 weeks.

The Celebrity Traitors airs Wednesday and Thursday nights at 9pm on BBC One, and streams on iPlayer. Uncloaked follows straight afterwards on BBC Two.
