Former Love Island star Olivia Attwood has opened up about moving past her husband Bradley Dack's past cheating.

Bradley recently confirmed during an appearance on Olivia's podcast that he cheated on his now-wife in the early days of their relationship, when they were previously together ahead of her 2017 stint on Love Island.

Speaking in a new interview with The Sun, Olivia said that while he did her "dirty", they have rebuilt trust in the years since.

“I feel like we had to break up and fall apart to grow up," she said. "And we both grew up a lot in those years."

The reality TV star explained that she was "absolutely furious" at the time, though revealed that at the time, the couple "weren't in a serious, committed relationship".

"I mean, he did me dirty, let’s not get it twisted, but it wasn't like we were in the relationship we are now," she explained.

"It's such a cliché, but trust is earned," Olivia continued. "There's not one thing anyone can do to win it back. It’s something you can build and grow, or you can damage it.

"I believe the time you spend together as a couple and every little thing you do throughout life builds that trust. I think of it like a rock, and then if you’re damaging it, you're just chipping away at it, and it was just about time.

"That whole thing feels like another lifetime ago," she added.

During a recent episode of Olivia's podcast So Wrong It's Right, she recalled how she found out that Bradley had been unfaithful.

After he confirmed he had been seeing someone else at the same time as Olivia, she asked him outright: "How do you feel about that?"

"Obviously, it's not very nice," he replied.

Olivia also recalled that Bradley came to her house after finding out she'd decided to go on Love Island shortly afterwards to try and talk her out of going on the show, saying: "I felt like I loved you, but obviously I was ashamed of that."

"I understood why you was going, but I didn't want you to go," he added.

Earlier this year, Olivia addressed the idea of cheating during a discussion on Loose Women, admitting she "very much believe[s] that humans are flawed, and we're not perfect".

"And I am not condoning cheating, but I think over a long span of a relationship, I think things can happen. I think I would be able to maybe forgive once if it was a one-time thing.

"I don't think I could forgive an affair where there was like planning and there were dates and there was like texting. And if children are involved, it would complicate things even further."

She later addressed her comments on Instagram, saying she was trying to be "balanced" during the discussion.
