Love Island viewers have heavily criticised Ope's reaction after his flirtatious chat with bombshell Victoria was exposed to the rest of the villa this Monday (8 June). The instalment saw newcomers Victoria and Namibia take several of the boys on dates after arriving as the latest bombshells.
However, the boys were unaware that the girls back at the villa were secretly watching every conversation unfold. During his date with Victoria, Ope appeared keen to make a strong first impression, even greeting her with a kiss on the hand before opening up about his current situation with Angelista.
When Victoria asked about his coupling, Ope admitted things had been moving more slowly than he's accustomed to. The conversation then took a flirtatious turn when Victoria asked whether he had shared a kiss with anyone in the villa.

Back at the villa, the exchange left several girls surprised, with Yasmin admitting she hadn't expected Ope to behave that way, while Angelista was left in tears. However, it was Ope's reaction after returning to the villa that attracted attention from viewers online - particularly after Robyn got involved and was brutally dismissed by the performer.
One wrote: "OPE TELLING A GIRL TO F*** OFF? Get him off my island NOW." A second added: "Ope has zero interest in apologies/accountability … it’s like in his head, he’s so upset that she even has the effrontery to be upset."

A third chimed in, captioning a GIF of a video showing a vehicle charging towards a window: "Me on the way to evict ope from the villa myself."
But Ope wasn't the only boy to face a harsh talking-to. Both Aidan and Lorenzo also came under scrutiny following their interactions with the bombshells. While Jasmine gave Lorenzo the cold shoulder, Aidan was confronted by Ellie upon his return to the villa, before being ambushed by both Ellie and Yasmin the following morning.
Still, not everyone attracted negative attention. Sean and Samraj received praise from viewers online for their loyalty to their respective partners, Lola and Priya.
Other fans found themselves rooting for Sam, who had a date with Namibia before connecting with Victoria the following morning. One notably penned: "Sam is a really sweet guy and So calm too. I wish they bring someone for him .. I doubt these new bombshells are for him."
These scenes follow bombshell George's sudden exit from Love Island for family reasons. The semi-professional footballer broke his silence over his exit with a statement relayed on Instagram.
Love Island airs weeknights from 9pm on ITV2.
