Reggie Perrin star Martin Clunes is currently filming ITV's new crime drama Manhunt, and we've got the pics to prove it.

The drama focuses on the real-life murders committed by serial killer Levi Bellfield, who was convicted of murdering three young women, including 13-year-old Milly Dowler.

Another of those women was 22-year-old French student Amélie Delagrange, who was found injured at Twickenham Green, which is where these crime scene filming photos were taken.

Clunes plays DCI Colin Sutton, the lead detective on the investigation.

Sutton was assigned to the case of Amelie's death despite being relatively inexperienced in murder investigation, and ended up making the connection between that crime and the murders of Marsha McDonnell and the abduction and murder of Milly Dowler when superior officers did not.

Waking the Dead and Silent Witness writer Ed Whitmore has penned the screenplay for this one, so expect it to be properly grim. ITV's Head of Drama Polly Hill called the screenplay "powerful" and "compelling".

It was initially reported that 2018 will also see the end of Clunes' series Doc Martin, which has had eight runs so far since it began all the way back in 2004.

However, the actor has since said that although nothing has been commissioned beyond a ninth series at the moment, thatdoesn't mean it's been cancelled.

The long-running series stars Clunes as a grumpy doctor who has a phobia of blood, has had Spanish, German, Dutch and Czech adaptations, and there have also been talks of an American version.
