Adolescence and Peaky Blinders star Stephen Graham is playing a ruthless killer in Apple TV's upcoming starry thriller series based on Lars Kepler's bestselling books. Branded a "riveting" drama by Apple TV, Nocturne stars Liev Schreiber as homicide detective Jonah Lynn, who family life is threatened by Graham's vicious murderer.
An ex-soldier, Jonah now works as a homicide detective in Philadelphia. When the city life gets too much for him, Jonah relocates to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a fresh start and a chance of a quiet life. Little does he know that cunning serial killer Jurek Walter, played by Graham, has been scheming to destroy all that Jonah holds dear.
Things take a turn when the search for Jurek's last missing victims forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz), up against the serial killer, but how far is Jonah willing to go?

Nocturne is set to come to our screens later this year, with the first episode of ten premiering on 30 October. The series will air episodes every Friday until its season finale, set to air on Christmas Day.
The series has teased the deadly game between Jonah and Jurek with a first-look image of Schreiber and Graham's characters looking at each other from across the screen of a prison cell door. In another first-look snap, Beetz's character Saga is pictured by an intricate evidence board.

Developed for television, written and executive produced by John Hlavin (Shooter, The Man Who Fell to Earth), who also serves as showrunner, and created, written and executive produced by Rowan Joffe (Tin Star, The Ballad of a Small Player), Nocturne is based off Kepler's novels Lazarus and The Sandman. Stars Schreiber and Beetz are also on board as executive producers.
Nocturne debuts on Apple TV on 30 October, with subsequent episodes premiering on the streamer weekly.
