Eve Myles and Katherine Kelly's dark and gripping crime drama The Crow Girl just dropped a first-look trailer ahead of its return on Monday 20 July. The season two teaser for the Paramount+ show – which you can watch above – sets up more twisted turns of events as the mystery deepens.
Jeanette Kilburn (Myles) and Dr Sophia Craven (Kelly) are still wrestling with the unsettling events that occurred in the season one finale, which left Jeanette's marriage in tatters and threads of the case still unsolved.
As the synopsis reads: "Season two sees DCI Jeanette Kilburn's hunt for the killers of young male asylum seekers take a shocking new turn, as a mummified body discovered in a church wall, and a body in a freezer, reveal a chilling connection."

It continues: "As Jeanette digs deeper, Dr Sophia Craven begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, her mysterious former patient, could be responsible. As Jeanette and Sophia's relationship becomes increasingly complex and emotionally charged, the case places their trust and judgement under strain.
"With the investigation growing darker, Sophia suspects Victoria is closer to the truth than she thought, leading them into a disturbing web of historic abuse and buried truths. With time running out, Jeanette must face the terrifying truth: the killer may be closer than she ever imagined."

Returning alongside Kelly and Myles for season two will be Victoria Hamilton as Superintendent Verity Pound, Elliot Edusah as DI Mike Dilliston, and Clara Rugaard as Victoria Burkeman.
The Crow Girl is based on the bestselling novels by Erik Axl Sund (the pseudonym of the collaborating Swedish authors Jerker Eriksson and Håkan Axlander Sundquist) and has been adapted for screen by Milly Thomas.
Season two has been commissioned by Paramount+ and is produced by Buccaneer Media in association with ITV Studios.
In a statement, Buccaneer CEO and executive producer for the series Tony Wood shared (via The Hollywood Reporter): "The opportunity to return to the world of DCI Jeanette, Sophia and Victoria is a real thrill; it's a drama that stretches character and bends time. I'm absolutely delighted to be back."
The Crow Girl season 2 will debut on Monday 20 July on Paramount+ in UK and Ireland.
