Before university comedy Fresh Meat, there was another Manchester-set series detailing the dilemmas of 20-somethings torn between partying and adulting — whatever that means.
Starring Sheridan Smith as protagonist Michelle Booth, comedy Grownups is now available to stream.
Created by Susan Nickson, the series originally aired for three seasons between 2006 and 2009. Branded a "cult comedy" on BBC iPlayer, the show revolves around a group of friends as they approach the 30 milestone amid work troubles, romantic drama and falling outs.
