Prime Video's brand new romantic drama Every Year After has landed on streaming in the UK. Based on the book Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, the series focuses on a story of young love.
It centres on obituary writer Percy (Sadie Soverall) and her relationship with Sam (Matt Cornett) over the course of six years and one week, taking place in the "quintessential lake town" of Barry's Bay.
Every Year After is further described as a "romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever".

Fans are now able to watch all eight episodes after the show dropped on Prime Video yesterday.
The series comes off the success of romantic drama Off Campus, which became a huge hit for Prime Video after being released last month, and is the third most-watched debut series in the platform's history.

Every Year After has attracted a largely positive reception so far, sitting at a 71% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 17 reviews at the time of writing.
Collider said that with "its small-town lake setting, compelling dual timelines, and rich characters", the show "does plenty to stand out from its peers".
The series is "the kind of summer romance adaptation that will captivate you, whether you are here for the tropes the show is centered on or not", according to Fangirlish.
Solzy at the Movies suggested it was "one of the year’s most engaging dramas", praising its "compelling ensemble, beautiful scenery, and a story that balances romance with genuine emotional depth".
"Beneath its YA stamp of approval is a refreshing take on the genre, focusing on coming-of-age regrets, family, and new beginnings," added FandomWire. "The kind of story you will want to come back to, year after year."
However, LeisureByte.com argued that while the main cast and setting "shine", the series "ultimately plays it safe with a predictable romantic-drama formula".
Every Year After is streaming now on Prime Video.
