If you're looking for a good new twisty comedy thriller, then Irish series Obituary is available to stream now in the UK. First released in 2023, the show focuses on an obituary writer called Elvira Clancy (Siobhán Cullen) who finds out she's actually pretty good at murder.
When she starts "eliminating the town's most unlikable residents", Elvira "ensures both her job security and a steady stream of creative writing, all while trying to evade the suspicions of the town's handsome new crime reporter", the synopsis reveals.
Viewers in the UK can now catch the series on ITVX, with both seasons released on the service as part of a box set.

Obituary comes from Ray Lawlor and also stars the likes of Bad Sisters' Michael Smiley, Gangs of London's Ronán Raftery, House of Guinness' Danielle Galligan and Extraordinary's Máiréad Tyers.
The series was called "excellent all around" by one fan on Rotten Tomatoes, who wrote it had "good acting, good story, many twists" and was "an all-around pleasure to watch".

"Obituary is wickedly smart, darkly funny, and way more heartfelt than it has any right to be," another added.
The show has also earned a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with Common Sense Media saying it "takes a morbidly humorous spin on mourning".
"The humor is so dry it crackles, the acting is perfect with nary a wink wink, and the plots are inventive," added Beverly Hills Courier.
Writing further of the first episodes, Pajiba called it "one delightful, properly Gothic (ahem) and somewhat disturbing first season of TV".
Meanwhile, Decider said: "There’s dark and then there’s dark, and Obituary is dark. Elvira is almost cartoonishly in love with death, as if Wednesday Addams grew up to write obituaries for a local newspaper."
"Imagine Dexter meets Bad Sisters, with a chilling yet somehow quite likable lead performance from Cullen, and you won’t be far off," Time wrote.
Obituary seasons 1-2 are streaming now on ITVX.
