Springwatch, the BBC’s beloved wildlife series, has returned for 2026 with an exciting new location. Airing its first episode live last night, Springwatch kicked off its 2026 season at The National Trust’s Crom Estate in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan returned to host the live show from Northern Ireland, with Iolo Williams roving around the UK to report on wildlife stories from a range of live locations.
Springwatch will air on iPlayer and BBC Two at 8pm, four nights each week for three weeks, from Monday 25 May until Thursday 11 June 2026.

The 2026 series, which features wildlife cameras trained on habitats around the clock, promises to "uncover the rich and natural wonders" of the Crom Estate, which is described as a "diverse and quietly spectacular landscape".
Located on the shores of Upper Lough Erne, the Crom Estate boasts an impressive environment, including ancient woodlands, wetlands, open parkland, and freshwater habitats.

The estate is home to an impressive variety of species, with red squirrels and pine martens occupying the forest. The lakes and waterways are home to otters, breeding water birds, and a host of fish species.
Birds living on the estate include warblers, treecreepers, and great crested grebes, as well as birds of prey.
Alongside the live shows from the Crom Estate, Iolo Williams will be roving around the UK and broadcasting from a different live location each week.

Per a press release, week one sees Iolo shine a "spotlight on the remarkable rewilding landscape of Knepp Estate in West Sussex".
Week two sees Iolo present from London, where he will cover wildlife stories from Hampstead Heath to the Natural History Museum, and from Ealing to the Royal Parks.
The third and final week of Springwatch will see Iolo travel to the Bempton Cliffs to "capture the relentless pace of seabird life", with the chalk cliffs providing vital nesting ledges for hundreds of thousands of seabirds.
Springwatch airs on iPlayer and BBC Two at 8pm, from Monday 25 May until Thursday 11 June 2026.
