If you're looking for an edge-of-your-seat thriller to binge this weekend, then Ultimátum could be one to add to your watchlist. Hailing from Slovakia and the Czech Republic, the show focuses on a hostage situation in a hospital.
Described as a series where "the stakes keep getting higher", all eight episodes of Ultimátum are streaming in the UK as of today on Channel 4 via the Walter Presents label.
Starring Ján Koleník, Milan Bahúl, Ester Geislerová, Matyáš Valenta and Alena Mihulová, the action follows a grieving former soldier as he storms a cardiac ward and "takes staff and patients hostage, demanding the truth about a military plane crash that killed his son".

"Police negotiator Daniel Andrik is drawn into the crisis while his pregnant partner is trapped inside," the synopsis adds. "As doctors fight to save a powerful minister and a summit of European leaders unfolds nearby, Daniel begins to uncover signs that the official investigation into the crash may have been covered up.
"With political pressure mounting and lives at risk, the siege becomes a desperate race to expose the truth before more people die."

Taking place over six episodes, the show comes from Diederik van Rooijen and stars Rifka Lodeizen, Marcel Hensema, Sallie Harmsen, Andrea Vass, Ruth Becquart and Benja Bruijning.
The site also recently added French mystery The Eclipse, as well as police procedural Crusade, which hails from Poland.
