Paddy McGuinness has confirmed that he is stepping down as the host of the Channel 4 show Tempting Fortune after its first two seasons, but that it will continue on without him in its recently greenlit third season.
The reality show, which began in 2023, follows a group in the wilderness as they make a gruelling journey in the hope of winning a huge sum of money.
Along the way, they are offered various boons such as luxury hotel stays or skipping an entire leg, with the caveat being that it eats into the prize money.
Explaining his decision (via The Sun), Paddy said: "I am happy to be passing the baton on and the new host is in for a real treat because it's a great show.
"I will be sad to leave it, but with other commitments and enjoying more family time, I've had to make some difficult choices."

A Channel 4 spokesperson added: "Paddy has been a brilliant host of Tempting Fortune, bringing his trademark humour to both series.
"We're grateful for everything he's brought to the show, and we totally understand that the filming commitment overseas is a big one and he is unable join us for the next series."
Filming for the third season has been announced to take place early next year, although we don't know if the search for a new host will delay that.

Earlier this year, Paddy denied that he was in a relationship with his Inside the Factory co-host Cherry Healy.
After posting a series of photographs of the two together on Instagram, fans asked if they were a couple. He shot the speculation down, stating: "Not at all. She's just a great person."
