Jonathan Ross has spoken out about his time on The Celebrity Traitors, after last week saw Paloma Faith be the first person to be ‘murdered’ and kicked off the show.
The much-anticipated celebrity edition of The Traitors began airing last week, with Jonathan, Alan Carr and Cat Burns selected as the cunning ‘Traitors’ by presenter Claudia Winkleman.
The show was filmed in April this year at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, with two episodes airing every Wednesday and Thursday this October on BBC One.
The celebrity contestants – which also include Stephen Fry, Clare Balding, Tom Daley and Celia Imrie, among others – have so far kept quiet on the show’s upcoming twists and turns, but Jonathan recently opened up on his time filming and how he wasn’t a fan of his Traitor role.
Speaking to his daughter Honey on their Reel Talk podcast, Jonathan said he’d already heard a few celebrity friends of his had been approached about a possible second series of the show.

"I know because I've had two celebrity friends of mine call me saying: 'I've been approached, what do you think about it? Is it good to do, is it bad to do?'" he said. “So I'm giving them the benefit of my experience... which, as you know, I didn't actually enjoy it."
His daughter replied: "Well you said you found it really challenging and really difficult. Obviously, now knowing..."
Jonathan then added: "I'm a Traitor... I found it really wearing on me, the lying genuinely made me feel increasingly uncomfortable."
Last week, the Traitors were tasked with making their first ‘kill’ by touching the face of the celebrity they wanted to eliminate and it was Alan who made the final blow by pretending to brush a hair off the face of real-life friend Paloma.

In an exit interview, Paloma said her time on the show had been "up and down" and that she found it "quite nerve-wracking."
"I knew when I went in that I have a huge personality and that I'd be very visible," she explained. "I knew that I couldn't fade into the background.
"I'm the sort of person that lets my feelings about people be known by talking a lot, so it was never an option for me to be able to quietly just simmer under the surface.
"I felt like my Spidey senses kicked off very early on. I was potentially, in hindsight, over sharing a lot of stuff. I don't think my technique was great in this game, but it works very well in real life."
The Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer – here's the full episode release schedule. The Traitors series 1-3 are streaming on BBC iPlayer.
