A French-Canadian inspector-led crime drama has just become available to stream right now – and may be your next binge-watch. The Orchard is the third part of series The Wall, and originally aired back in 2022.

The season follows detective Céline Trudeau (Isabel Richer) as she returns to her hometown in Quebec as a skeleton is discovered in her uncle's orchard. She and police officer Alexandre Théberge (Alexandre Landry) are joined by local officer Johnny (Didier Lucien) to look into the case.

"When a body is dug up in police inspector Céline Trudeau's uncle’s orchard, her family’s dark history starts to resurface…," a synopsis teases.

UK fans wanting to catch the series can do so tonight at 9pm on More4, after which it will be added to Channel 4 streaming.

The Wall began in 2019 with first season Cover Your Tracks, which was followed by The Chateau Murders two years later. It begins with Céline being called in to a mining town from Quebec City to crack the murder of a stripper-prostitute.

What to Read Next

The series has received a largely positive reception from viewers, one on IMDb calling it an "easy binge watch".

"Some will say it is predictable, and in some ways it could easily be seen that way, but it has enough red herrings to make it hard to work out. Plenty of suspects like any good whodunnit," they added.

Another labelled it a "fast paced detective series" that is packed full of "cliffhangers, twists and turns" and is "easy watching and a reasonably well-directed production".

A third said they were "very pleasantly surprised" by the show, adding: "The red herrings and the investigation proceeds in such a way as to bring a very nice character arc and thematic crescendo, which is much preferable to me over a wild twist."
