Iceland-set drama The Darkness, described as a "gritty Nordic crime noir", is now available to watch on Channel 4.
Based on the Ragnar Jónasson novel of the same name, the 6-episode show follows seasoned investigator Hulda Hermannsdóttir on her final case before being forced into early retirement.
As she investigates a shocking murder case, the detective has to come to terms with her own personal traumas.
Swedish star Lena Olin, best known for her BAFTA-nominated role in 2000's Chocolat and as KGB agent Irina Derevko on the spy thriller Alias, plays the lead detective. Olin was also part of the main cast in Nine Perfect Strangers season 2, released in May.
The cast of The Darkness features Pennyworth's Jack Bannon, A Gentleman in Moscow star Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Douglas Henshall and Thorsteinn Bachmann.

For those craving more detectives dramas, Adrian Dunbar's Ridley returned for a season 2 earlier this month.
Three years since the show's debut on ITV, the new episodes follow grieving former detective inspector Alex Ridley as he is coaxed out of retirement to consult on a murder case for his former protégée, DI Carol Farman.
The Line of Duty star is joined by Bronagh Waugh as Farman, while the cast for the new season also includes Terence Maynard, Georgie Glen and George Bukhari.
The Darkness is now streaming on Channel 4.
