Doctor Who fans are being treated to yet another new project from the Whoniverse and several familiar faces are getting involved.
Former Doctor actors David Tennant, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker have all joined forces to work on a new Doctor Who book in a bid to raise money for charity.
The exciting new Whoniverse project is being led by Sophie Aldred, who famously played the Seventh Doctor’s companion Ace.
The new book revolves around an iconic piece of clothing worn by Aldred’s character – Ace’s badge-adorned jacket.
Packed with a range of short stories, Ace Jacket: The Inside Story will explain the origins of each of the 50 badges on Ace’s jacket. The idea originally came from Whovian Shawn Levy.

However, Tennant, Capaldi, and Whittaker aren’t the only Doctor Who stars who have contributed to the writing of the new book.
Classic Doctors Peter Davison, Colin Baker, and Sylvester McCoy have also been involved in the project.
Former showrunners of the hit sci-fi series Chris Chibnall and Steven Moffat are also on the list of contributors.

"I went off to various Doctor Who alumni like David Tennant, Chris Chibnall... I said to them, could you write a story about one of the badges that takes your interest?" Aldred told BBC News. "I got in touch with a lot of the people I know. I collared people at parties and conventions.
"They've written little short stories or poems - we've had paintings, we've had cartoons, we've had all sorts."
The actor went on to explain that some of the money raised from the book would go towards charities Autism All Stars and the National Autistic Society.
"We wanted to choose charities which had some kind of association with Doctor Who and there's a lot of Doctor Who fans who do have autism," she said. "I've met so many of them. They're such incredible, amazing people.
"I just really felt that it would be good to raise some awareness and some money as well for these charities."
Ace Jacket: The Inside Story is on sale now.
