Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies has promised "big surprises" ahead of plans to shake up Gallifrey lore.
Last week's instalment of the sci-fi series saw the shocking return of classic character and Time Lord, The Rani (Archie Panjabi), when Mrs Flood (Anita Dobson) bi-generated and split into two figures.
This weekend marks the conclusion of season 15, with a special two-part finale which will see villainous characters working together.
According to Davies, 'Wish World' and 'The Reality War' will challenge our knowledge of the planet Gallifrey, as the finale takes an "unexpected" turn.
In an interview with Doctor Who Magazine, the showrunner described the series as "wilder than it's ever been before", and teased a climactic storyline that is both "very epic" and also "very personal".

"It takes some very unexpected turns... There are big surprises, from the Doctor and for the Doctor," Davies continued.
"Some of it shakes up the lore of Gallifrey. Some of it re-contextualises the Doctor, the Rani, and their relationship."

Davies went on to describe the finale as a "full circle" moment for the show's latest season, promising that he's been "weaving in" elements from throughout Ncuti Gatwa's stint as The Doctor.
"Elements from [season 14 premiere] 'The Church on Ruby Road' are even paid off. It's rewarding for long-term fans but exciting for new viewers as well," he added.
