Katherine Kelly (and Slow Horses) fans – there's an upcoming show you might like to know about.
It was previously announced that the popular actor would be stepping into a new role for a new Channel 4 crime drama and, after her commendable performance in the recent thriller The Crow Girl, we're thinking that you won't want to miss it.
Titled In Flight, this new UK series has been co-created by Slow Horses director Adam Randall – so if you're also a fan of the Apple TV+ spy hit, there'll probably be lots to love for you too.
But what's it about? Channel 4 has revealed that its upcoming show, also written and co-created by Marcella boss Mike Walden, will see Kelly play the character of a single mum and flight attendant Jo Conran.
The synopsis goes on to say that "her son is serving a fifteen-year sentence in a Bulgarian prison for a murder he swears he did not commit..."
What transpires, according to Channel 4, is a story "set against the fast-paced, high-pressure world of global air travel" that will follow Jo's "relentless quest" to protect her family.

Who else has been cast in Channel 4's In Flight?
It's a big time for Katherine Kelly, as she most recently appeared in ITV's successful series Protection, which also stars Happy Valley's Siobhan Finneran.
But among those joining Kelly for In Flight are Miss Scarlet's Stuart Martin and Them's Ashley Thomas.
The cast also includes Heartstopper's Corinna Brown, as well as Ridley's Bronagh Waugh, Ted Lasso's Ambreen Razia and Dope Girls' Harry Cadby.
Who is behind In Flight?
Billed as "nail-shredding," the six part mini-series has been written and co-created by Mike Walden (Marcella) and Adam Randall (Slow Horses) and directed by Chris Baugh (Tin Star). The show has also been produced by Buccaneer, the team behind The Crow Girl and The Burning Girls.
In an official statement, Walden and Randall teased what to expect from the new series, stating: "In Flight is our spin on the noir genre, a high stakes, stylish, romantic thriller with iconic characters and nerve shredding action.
"Jo is a character close to our hearts. She is an ordinary woman facing extraordinary odds. We can't wait for audiences to meet her."
Their sentiments were supported by an Executive Producer at Buccaneer, Anna Burns, who said: "We could not be more excited about the team we have in place to bring Mike and Adam's gripping creation to life. We're so proud to be making this show for Channel 4 and cannot wait to take the audience on Jo's heart-pounding journey."
