Blue Lights star Valene Kane has been confirmed for a "devastating" new Scotland-set drama from Channel 4.
Kane will lead the cast of the upcoming Scottish thriller Summerwater alongside My Week with Marilyn star Dougray Scott and Harry Potter star Shirley Henderson.
Based on Sarah Moss' best-selling book of the same name, the six-part drama, which recently finished filming in Scotland, follows a group of holidaymakers in a cabin park.
"Set against the backdrop of a remote loch-side Scottish holiday cabin park, Summerwater looks at the simmering tensions between holidaymakers that eventually erupt into a devastating climax," the synopsis reads.
"Weaving together the lives of several families as they navigate unspoken conflicts, private dilemmas, and fleeting moments of beauty from their disparate cabins. The story flashes back to dramatic events in key characters’ lives before their holiday, which may have consequences in the present."

Along with the cast announcement, Channel 4 released a few first-look images of the new six-part series.
A first-look image of Kane in the drama shows the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor standing in the rain while wearing a raincoat.
Another image shows Fedaravičius, who played Valentin in this year's instalment of The White Lotus, sharing an embrace with a woman.
In the final image, Scottish actor Scott can be seen wrapping his arms around Bridget Jones actor Henderson in what appears to be one of the holiday cabins.
There are currently no further details about when to expect the drama from Channel 4.
