Anne-Marie Duff's exciting new BBC revenge series has confirmed a release date – and fans won't have long to wait.

Reunion, which is in both spoken English and British Sign Language (BSL), follows the story of a Deaf man called Daniel Brennan (played by Matthew Gurney) who seeks to find the truth over the events that led to his arrest a decade before.

It has now been confirmed by the BBC that the Sheffield-set drama will debut on Monday, April 7.

It has also been revealed that all four episodes of Reunion will land on BBC iPlayer from 6am on that day, while episodes will broadcast on BBC One, in the 9pm slot, on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Along with this scheduling news, the BBC has released a first-look trailer, which you can watch above.

The show focuses on Brennan, who has already been separated from the world due to being Deaf and was ostracised from his community after being arrested for a crime.

"My character, Brennan, is on a wildly different journey than that portrayed by normal Deaf lives, this portrays a man who is hated within the Deaf community. It shows how Deaf people react and act on screen in an honest and authentic way.

"We are different to hearing actors. We are so much more visual storytellers. It's not about relying on sound, it’s about using your eyes and seeing what is going on in the story."

Reunion will premiere on BBC One on Monday, April 7 at 9pm.
