Gavin & Stacey has teased fans about that infamous fishing trip for one last time, showing viewers some actual footage of the incident.
The running joke has been going since the 2000s, but every time the characters have come close to revealing what happened between Uncle Bryn and Jason, they get cut off.
All we know is, they were cold, soup was involved, it was apparently illegal in some countries, and it maybe defied the laws of gravity.

In yesterday's special behind-the-scenes episode A Fond Farewell, viewers were teased with some 'home footage' of Rob Brydon and Robert Wilfort with some retro hairstyles and a VHS filter, faffing around by a lake.
Jason catches a big fish and Uncle Bryn proudly holds it up with him, stating: "No one will go hungry tonight!" We then saw Jason preparing some soup.

But before we got to see anything potentially illegal or gravity-defying, the special cut to credits. Gavin & Stacey teased the incident but, at the crucial moment, didn't give the game away. And really, would you have it any other way after all this time?

Elsewhere in the special, we saw scenes being filmed from the very first episode, the 2024 finale, and everything in-between. The cast reminisced on the success of the show and how it changed their lives.
We also saw Mathew Horne and Joanna Page take the official Dave Coaches tour of filming locations around Barry Island, as well as visit a superfan whose house is full of Gavin & Stacey memorabilia.
