EastEnders has had the reigning Christmas day broadcast for the past four consecutive years.
2013's Christmas line-up sees festive specials for Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, Strictly Come Dancing and other family favourites airing.
Doctor Who also returns in a holiday outing for 'The Time of the Doctor', which will be Matt Smith's final episode as the Time Lord.
Family favourites Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs at Christmas, Mrs Brown's Boys, Alan Carr: Chatty Man Christmas Special and Man Down are all airing festive episodes as well.
Coronation Street, EastEnders and Emmerdale will be broadcasting specials in competitive timeslots - Corrie's hour-long up against Doctor Who, EastEnders facing Downton Abbey and Emmerdale against Call the Midwife.
