Note: There are spoilers for Deep Water in the following article.
ITV's new drama Deep Water definitely left viewers on the edge of their seats with a true WTF cliffhanger.
The six-part series from Mrs. Wilson writer Anna Symon stars Marcella's Anna Friel, Being Human's Sinead Keenan and Howards End's Rosalind Eleazar as three friends struggling to 'keep up appearances' as busy mums.
Under the surface of this "emotional thriller" is a deepening mystery that climaxed in Wednesday's (August 14) season premiere with Kate (Eleazar) seemingly having a child go missing.
Digital Spy and other media recently caught up with the cast, where they were quick to stress to us that Deep Water actually is "not a drama about a missing child".
"All isn't what it seems," Friel teased. "And Kate has got so many secrets. You would never guess."

She then hinted: "A really big hint is why does she react as she does when the child goes over the boat?"
That's a question that even her fellow cast members have been grappling with, as it turns out.
Keenan – who plays Roz in Deep Water – asked co-star Friel: "That's another thing that it compelling. What's [Kate's] game? Why isn't she running in?! It was absurd."
That's a mystery Keenan, and Deep Water viewers, will only get an answer for if they keep watching!
Deep Water – which also stars Wolf Hall's Alastair Mackenzie, The Bill's Steve Toussaint and Top Boy's Camilla Beeput – will continue next Wednesday (August 21) at 9pm on ITV.
