Neighbours spoilers follow for the episode airing on Tuesday 2 September.
1. Terese accuses Elle of lying
Elle Robinson's Neighbours return gets off to a rocky start next week, as Terese Willis calls her out for telling lies to her dad Paul.
As Elle (now played by Elise Jansen) spins a tall tale over why she's back in town after 16 years away, it doesn't take Terese long to find out that she isn't being honest.
Next week's episodes see Elle get in touch with Paul to announce that she's coming back home after quitting her job in New York.
Paul accepts this at face value, but Terese and Krista Sinclair both suspect there's much more to it.

"Terese is very reluctant to trust anything that Elle says," our Neighbours source explains.
"She hasn't forgotten that Elle was the mastermind behind Paul's ex-wives coming back into his life, just before he was due to marry Terese in 2019.
"Paul has put this incident well and truly behind him, especially as Elle claimed that she was testing him rather than trying to break them up. But Terese can't help feeling wary…"
Terese and Krista get Leo Tanaka on board with their theories, asking him to consult a well-placed contact in New York about what's really happening with Elle.

Leo's friend reports back that Elle didn't really quit the job she loved – instead, she was fired amid a scandal at work.
"Terese quickly confronts Elle and warns that she has some explaining to do," our insider adds. "How will Elle deal with this curveball?"
2. Nicolette tries to distract herself from Cara
Nicolette Stone tries to distract herself from her feelings for Cara Varga-Murphy by arranging a quick date with Maddy Murphy – Cara's cousin.
Jane Harris questions her daughter's motives but receives a frosty response for meddling.
In the cold light of day after spending the night with Maddy, Nicolette starts to realise that Jane was right to be sceptical about her impulsive behaviour...
3. Nell feels isolated
Nell insists that she wants to stay friends with the Varga-Murphy boys after breaking up with JJ. Dex dismisses this, insisting that his loyalty lies with JJ. He refuses to see Nell until JJ is feeling better about the heartbreaking situation.
Nell also struggles back at home at Number 22, with Elle's arrival throwing the status quo into chaos.
