Neighbours spoilers follow for recent episodes.
Neighbours actor Xavier Molyneux has broken his silence on his character Byron Stone's exit after two years on the soap.
In Monday's episode, Byron left Erinsborough to go travelling and meet Mackenzie and Haz in Paris, but not before having a farewell party and getting some closure with his ex Sadie Rodwell.
In a new video posted to the soap's official Instagram page, Molyneux said "It's time to say bye to Byron", before taking fans on a trip down memory lane.
Going right back to his first storyline as the character, the actor recalled: "It was lovely working with Mischa Barton. I get that question a lot. And, you know, I spoke to her the other day and she also gets that question a lot."

He also reflected on his first scene, which was with his on-screen mum Annie Jones. "It was such a motherly scene and I felt it straight away."
Praising his co-stars Hannah Monson and Emerald Chan, Molyneux said: "Those two beautiful women I owe a lot to", adding that Monson is "so funny" while he has a "sort of black cat, golden retriever vibe off screen" with Chan.
Elsewhere in the video, Molyneux called Craig Hall, who played his on-screen dad Vic Stone, "fantastic and such an open actor", adding: "We really got to explore that dynamic and that showed."

On his ending, the actor stated that; "Byron gets to go full circle and revisit his friends over in Paris. I think that's such a nice way to, you know, finish it and leave it open ended."
"The biggest takeaway for me from Neighbours, it's obviously the people and they're not going anywhere. There is no takeaway. It's just a great addition," he concluded.
"Thank you to everybody that's watched Byron's journey. It's been such a thrill to be a part of, and we've definitely felt the love and support on this side. So I just wanted to say thank you."
Since leaving the show, Molyneux has been cast in Prime Video's new Viking series Bloodaxe, which means that he wasn't involved in filming the soap's final episodes.
Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.
