A dishevelled Terese finds the remains of the broken picture frames from the night before and is hit with another wave of grief. When Jane drops by, Terese masks her feelings and hides the box away to avoid uncomfortable questions.
Later, Terese spots Paul – but catches herself before she calls out, resisting her old impulse to turn to him in her time of need. Noticing Terese's distress, Remi offers compassionate counsel. Terese confesses she wants to go to Paul, but her gut is telling her not to.
However, when Paul shows up on her doorstep with lunch later that day, Terese gives in to her impulses and invites him in.

Terese and Paul chat, both troubled by recent events but both wary not to overstep with each other. When Paul gets up to make a tea, he finds Terese has fallen asleep on the couch. He covers her with a blanket, but does the right thing and leaves.
Meanwhile, Nicolette's surprised when Jane can't take Isla for the day as she's busy with Eirini business. When Jane points out Nicolette should have been more organised with childcare, Nicolette is left feeling frustrated and patronised.
Forced to take Isla into work, Nicolette sets her up in the Harold's Café kitchen with books and toys. Later, Nicolette attempts to offload Isla onto Aaron, but he only becomes annoyed with her for stuffing up childminding arrangements.
After unsuccessfully trying to find a last-minute babysitter, a harried Nicolette is shocked to hear a shriek from the kitchen. She and Cara rush in to find Isla has burnt her hand.
Nicolette does her best to soothe poor Isla, but her own heart is racing in alarm.
Elsewhere, unable to connect to the internet for an important meeting, Krista is annoyed that Nicolette failed to warn her about a planned network outage. Nicolette compensates by offering to help Krista with her laundry, so she can rush off to find some wifi.
Later that day, when Krista is keen to change into some clean clothes for a date with Leo, she's frustrated to find Nicolette hasn't done the laundry after all. Krista vents to Leo, deciding it might be time for her to move out. But when Byron overhears this, he begs Krista to stay, shaking Krista's resolve.
Also today, determined to make her boylesque fundraiser a success despite Paul's misgivings, Krista hires Melanie as her entertainment consultant and the two get cracking on recruiting performers for Aaron's training regime.
Krista and Melanie make their first offer to Byron, who refuses. He's happy to help them, but he's not taking his clothes off. The women manage to tempt him to another meeting, only this time surprising Byron with thumping music and dance instructor Aaron pulling him into an impromptu dance routine. Despite himself, Byron admits he's having fun and agrees to help them out.
