Ziggy is set to reveal that she is pregnant in upcoming scenes set to air in Australia in Home and Away, but it is not the joyous news for her that you might expect.

With her dream of becoming a pro surfer looking like it could be set to become a reality after she was offered a sponsorship, Ziggy is well aware that having a baby will see the opportunity fall by the wayside.

Deciding that she would be best keeping the pregnancy a secret from her boyfriend, Dean, for now, Ziggy wrestles over what the right thing to do is – and whether she would be able to say goodbye to her surfing goals.

But Ziggy soon reveals the truth to Dean and while he is thrilled at the prospect of becoming a dad, it doesn't take long before he realises that Ziggy does not share his enthusiasm.

While speaking to TV Week, Ziggy star Sophie Dillman said: "It's a huge question mark. A lot of women go through this, feeling like they have to make a choice, particularly those in professional sports.

"They don't always go hand in hand all the time. She got everything she wanted. Surfing is her dream."

But while her career is at the forefront of Ziggy's hesitation, she reveals to Dean that there is more to the story and that her time with her ex-husband Brody caused her to think that she was never going to become a parent.

"When she was with Brody, she wanted a family, but he changed her mind as to whether that was going to happen. Then when she began dating Dean, she decided she didn't want children.

"She is torn between following a dream she always had to the one she has now."

It seems that a tough decision is in Ziggy's immediate future but what will she decide, and will she and Dean be on the same page about what they should do?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7plus.
