Home and Away: Leah and John search for Susie

Leah shows John the latest information she has found on Susie, hoping to get John to jump on board with her and chase down this lead as quickly as possible. Justin is still not convinced this is the right thing and asks Irene to help talk some sense into Leah after everything they've been through together.

Leah discusses the latest information with John, in Irene's presence. Given the dealings Irene had with Susie, she also warns Leah of getting herself in danger with the woman who's a loose cannon and capable of anything. Irene calls Justin and tells him that Leah and John are leaving tomorrow and nothing will stop them, but he can't believe what he's hearing.

Meanwhile, John notices Amber as she comes into the Surf Club, visibly upset. He offers to console her, which she turns away to begin with, but John reminds Amber how much she has been a good support for him over the past few months. She finally allows herself to feel the depths of her heartbreak. Amber knows she can't compete with what Dean had with Ziggy and admits she needs to move on before it gets toxic.

When Amber finally comes home, the pair have the difficult conversation about their future. Dean finally admits he's still in love with Ziggy. The pair have tried really hard to be together, but they can no longer keep going the way they're going. They work up the courage to tell Jai that they're not going to be living together and he takes it as well as can be expected.

The little family agree they'll always be a family, it will just look different to what Jai is used to in the conventional sense. That night, Dean says his final goodnight to Jai in his bed. While packing to leave, Dean offers to sleep on the couch for the night, but Amber asks him to spend her last night with her.

The following morning, the family say their farewells and both Dean and Amber are upset, but there's nothing they can do in this situation and both amicably go their separate ways, promising to put Jai's best interests before their own emotions.

Later, Ari offers to be a listening ear for Dean. Dean can't explain how he feels about Amber. He likes her a lot, but deep down he's not ready to fall in love with Amber. The both of them discuss his custody issues with Jai and Dean agrees he needs to be prepared for what games Amber might play.

Elsewhere, Ziggy storms into the gym, ready to take out all her pent-up anger on a boxing bag. Mia gets as much information out of Ziggy as she can. When Ziggy admits that Tane told her he loves her, Mia is surprised. This isn't like Tane and they both know it.

As Ziggy comes out of the gym, Amber confronts her, but this time it's to apologise. When Ziggy and Mia arrive back home, Mia is jumping out of her skin to tell Ari about Tane's love confession to Ziggy. When she cracks and tells him, Ari is equally as shocked as everyone else.

Ari also wonders whether it's too late for him and Mia to be parents, but Mia isn't ready to have that conversation.
