Mac doesn't understand why Tane is not jumping into bed with her. He reminds her that her good friend and housemate is his actual girlfriend and leaves the farm house as quickly as he can to avoid the situation. When Ziggy arrives home to find Mac, she quickly realises the mess Mac is in and takes the alcohol from her and puts her to bed.

The next morning, when Ziggy heads for a surf, she finds Tane on the beach. He tells Ziggy she's not going to like hearing how Mac was towards him the night before. He's right and Ziggy is furious, storming home to throw Mac out of her house.

Amber comes to confront Ziggy when she's with Tane, and the pair almost come to blows. Ziggy fires back at any allegation made towards her about her relationship with Dean. Tane witnesses Ziggy confessing how she has everything she needs in Tane. He kisses her, confessing his love, which delights Ziggy and she tells him she loves him back.

Meanwhile, Amber arrives home to find Ziggy and Dean in the middle of a personal conversation on the couch when she arrives home with Jai. Jai is excited to see the framed article about the two of them, but Amber is less than impressed with yet another reminder of how close Dean and Ziggy are.

Amber offers to talk to Dean finally after he takes Jai to school. Just as he's about to head out the door, Amber sees the message Ziggy sent to Dean, asking him to meet her at the Surf Club for a chat and once again Amber feels insecure about her relationship. She finds the two of them talking. Even though they're talking about how to deal with Mac, with Ziggy confessing she can no longer be a part of helping Mac, Amber sees it as another intimate moment between the two former lovers.

Amber finally breaks down her walls and tells Dean how she can't ignore her gut feelings and asks him to look her in the eye and tell her he isn't still in love with Ziggy. But he can't and he can't tell her what she wants to hear… not yet at least. But Amber's not wasting anymore time. She can't deny what is right, and that's to move on.

Elsewhere, Justin and Leah take John for a dinner and Leah convinces John into coming to find the truth about Susie. Leah shows him all the evidence she has collected so far. Leah continues the search for Susie and has a breakthrough with a possible sighting up on the coast, not far from Summer Bay.

Justin is hesitant about how excited Leah is about racing off the moment someone on the internet claims to have seen them. The pair argue over the situation, with Leah storming out.
