Home and Away's Leah Patterson-Baker has finally discovered the truth about Mason Morgan in sombre scenes.
Leah was told of Mason's sad death in Thursday's episode on Channel 7 in Australia (March 12), as her partner Justin realised that he couldn't keep her in the dark for any longer.
Recent episodes on air in Australia have seen Leah (Ada Nicodemou) finally return home to Summer Bay after being missing for several weeks.
Leah was held captive by a cruel and violent man called Douglas, who terrorised her into following his every instruction and even tried to force her into marrying him.

Although a traumatised Leah has since returned home again, Justin (James Stewart) found himself in a difficult situation as she went days without asking about Mason's whereabouts.
When Leah finally mentioned Mason in the latest episode, she questioned his absence and whether he was giving her space for her recovery.
Justin gently explained that Mason had died weeks earlier during a siege at the local hospital, admitting that he hadn't been able to find the right time to tell her.
As Leah tried to come to terms with the news, she reflected on the fact that she wasn't there for Justin at the time – seeing it as yet more heartache caused by Douglas's evil behaviour.

In a heart-to-heart with Irene Roberts, Leah later explained: "When I was trapped with Douglas, all I could think about was getting free and getting back here.
"It's so unfair what he's taken from me. I'm frightened all the time, jumping at shadows and second-guessing myself. I've got to find a way to be strong again, so I can help Justin the way he's helped me."
