Hollyoaks kicks off Dee Dee Hutchinson's dark new storyline next week, as she turns to drugs amid her grief for Diane.
The sad scenes take place during the week of Diane's funeral – an occasion which threatens to tear the Hutchinsons apart as Dee Dee starts to worry about the possibility of Tony finding a new partner in the future.

On the day of the funeral, the family's thoughts turn to the letters that Diane wrote for them all before she died. Dee Dee sneaks an early peek at the one that Diane left behind for Tony – and she's shocked that it mentions Diane's wish for Tony to start a new relationship with Leela Lomax.
Tony is frantic with worry when the letter goes missing. Meanwhile, when Leela turns up to pay her last respects, Dee Dee is wary and gives her the cold shoulder.

The teen's emotions finally boil over when Leela takes centre stage at the wake, raising a toast to Diane and branding her "irreplaceable". Dee Dee erupts, confronting Leela and claiming that her touching words are hollow as she clearly wants to replace Diane!
Later in the week, Dee Dee's brothers Ro and Ant ask Tony why she's behaving so strangely – but does Tony realise what's going on?
At the same time, Dee Dee hangs out at the park with her friend Trina. They drink wine together, but Trina ups the ante by pulling out a bag of ketamine that she stole from her sister.

Dee Dee decides to take the drugs, believing that the side effects will allow her to see Diane again.
Tony is confused when Dee Dee arrives home late after her risky behaviour – will he get to the bottom of what's going on?
Hollyoaks' executive producer Hannah Cheers first announced this storyline earlier this month, revealing that Dee Dee's troubles will lead to the arrival of former Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent in the role of drugs counsellor Abigail.
"It's going to be a very different role for [Brooke] in a major story that will take hold over the summer," Cheers told Inside Soap. "Her character, Abigail, is not connected to anyone in the village.

"The story starts when Dee Dee, spiralling after Diane's death, takes ketamine a couple of times. Tony finds out and makes the rash decision to drive her to a teen rehab facility where she meets this counsellor, Abigail.
"Dee Dee ends up escaping from rehab and Abigail follows her back to the village, then decides to stick around. Abigail's a very dynamic presence, she's cool and progressive and loves people. She easily makes friends and will end up being flatmates with someone in the village, and landing a job there."
