Hollyoaks has revealed the outline of Liberty Savage's exit storyline, with the much-loved character set to depart the village after actor Jessamy Stoddart confirmed she was expecting a child.
Liberty has had a rough few months, with her controversial relationship with Jez Blake coming to an end after his various crimes were unearthed. Since then, she has tried to get her life back on track, but has found it difficult.

Tonight's episode of the Channel 4 soap began with her walking in on Dodger and Theresa, who were attempting to spice up their own relationship. After the embarrassment was over, she aired frustration at her own love life.
She explained that she was due to go on a date in the evening, only for her plans to be curtailed after he cancelled. She expressed that she felt "pathetic" over her growing sense of loneliness, with the imprisonment of half-sister Sienna also contributing.

"She was like this big planet, and I was like the moon just happily floating in her orbit. Now she's not here anymore, I'm like a moan floating in outer space," she said, though Dodger and Theresa attempted to lift her spirits.
She invited Liberty to come for some drinks with her and Myra, though Liberty stressed that she didn't want an invite out of "pity". Nevertheless, she headed to The Loft with Theresa and Myra, where they were joined by Beth.

While there, Liberty reminisced about her previous life in New Zealand, but became emotional as she remarked that it was the last time she was "genuinely happy". She got a pep talk from Myra, who said she should consider travelling.
Theresa echoed this sentiment, and said that Liberty should at least think about travelling to New Zealand, as it may give her some renewed energy. Liberty at least seemed to consider the idea, but will she follow through with it?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
