Hollyoaks villain Connor 'Sully' Sullivan has faced his comeuppance in recent scenes, but a last-minute twist turned the tables on his downfall.
The E4 soap has seen Sully's dad Froggy discover that his son had raped Donny Clarke last year. In hospital after suffering a heart attack, Froggy thanked Donny for saving his life and decided to put an end to their feud.
"As far as I'm concerned, any beef between us is forgotten," Froggy told Donny as Rex Gallagher watched on.
"As for Sully, you can do whatever you want with him," Froggy added. "Whatever you want."
A puzzled Rex asked for an explanation, but Froggy ordered him to "cut [Sully] loose" if he reached out for help.

"He's no longer a son of mine," Froggy said.
Later on, Sully's ex Frankie Osborne received a call from Froggy, who gave her details of the corrupted cops that were on Sully's payroll.
Frankie relayed this information to Dodger Savage, who had been trying to find evidence incriminating Sully for Frankie's abusive brother JJ's murder.

After informing Donny they had enough for an arrest, Dodger headed to Sully's but he'd already escaped.
Just as Froggy predicted, Sully paid Rex a visit at the garage, asking for a car that couldn't be traced. Rex pretended to help him but called the police instead.
"I know what you did to Donny and this is payback," Dodger told him.
At the hospital, Frankie told Froggy about Sully's arrest.
"I hope this gives you some closure, Frankie," he said.
Frankie pointed out that Froggy could go back to prison after revealing how he and Sully are implicated, but Froggy seemed at peace with that.
"But you'll be safe," he told her. "Everyone will."
Unfortunately, Sully wasn't going to go down without a fight.
Handcuffed in the police car, Sully blackmailed officer Smithy, threatening him to reveal he was implicated if he didn't let him go.
Cornered, Smithy unlocked the handcuffs and allowed Sully to escape — though not before the villain could hit him with a "convincing" punch.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
