Hollyoaks star Anna Passey has opened up on an unusual idea she had for a Sienna Blake storyline that was ultimately turned down.

The fan favourite character is no stranger to bleak plots, with Sienna being at the centre of stories tackling abuse, kidnapping, and even murder.

But it was one unique business idea that Anna suggested for her character in the Channel 4 soap that was deemed a little too dark.

Speaking to Ste Hay actor Kieron Richardson on Hollyoaks Unwrapped, she explained: "For years and years, there was a beautiful florist in the middle of the village, it was in a little structure I'm sure you all remember it, and I loved the set."

She continued: "No one was working in it, and I don't think I really had a job at the time. I just milled about, and I asked our producer at the time, Bryan Kirkwood, if I could have the florists.

"I thought what would be so super would be calling it Sienna Stalks, and it was half florist, and then in the back it was taxidermy. That's what I really wanted, stuffed crows and squirrels, and there was a good half and a bad half.

"I was like 'please can I have it,' and he always said no, he didn't let me have it, and then they ploughed the florist down. It's not there anymore, and I thought 'that's my dreams done.'"

Sienna did eventually get her own floristry business, Blake's Blooms, a stall that she runs in the Hollyoaks market.

Currently in the soap, Sienna has been left heartbroken as her girlfriend, Cleo McQueen, has struggled through postpartum psychosis following the birth of her son, Joseph.

After a traumatic birth where Joseph arrived early, Cleo has been struggling with the debilitating condition, leading Sienna to move in to help with the baby and general day-to-day tasks.

Cleo's illness led her to believe she was speaking to Sienna's twin brother, Dodger Savage, through the baby monitor, and the two had planned to run away together.

Sienna was left crushed when Cleo exploded and told her about her plan, leading her to confront Dodger, who had no idea what she was talking about, and explained the same thing to Cleo.

The revelation finally led to Cleo being admitted into the hospital's psychiatric care and being told she was suffering from postpartum psychosis, devastating Sienna but ultimately leaving her feeling relieved.
