Oscar and Ro's miscommunication is made worse when Arlo passes by and stirs things up. Back home, Nancy worries about Oscar's whereabouts.
Later, Roo confides in Diane about his fear of being sent to a facility for female young offenders if he's convicted of hurting Oscar. Diane promises that she'll do whatever it takes to protect Ro.
Meanwhile, doctors at the hospital tell Martha that her dementia symptoms haven't worsened as quickly as they'd feared. Martha decides to give Jez lasting power of attorney.
Later, Jez refuses to listen to Ste's latest accusations. Ste is frustrated that John Paul won't listen over Jez being bad news, so he promises to get proof and searches the allotment.
