Hollyoaks has enjoyed a ratings boost on streaming since unleashing its autumn stunt and one-year time jump twist, according to new figures released by Channel 4.
The long-running show pulled off a UK soap first last month when it shifted its timeline forward by 12 months.
Hollyoaks moved to a three-episodes-per-week scheduling pattern from Monday, September 9. This was the autumn stunt week featuring Cleo McQueen's motorbike crash and a shock car bomb explosion involving James Nightingale and Ste Hay.
The week after – from Monday, September 16 – featured the jump ahead to 'one year later' as viewers discovered who'd survived the two incidents.

Excitement and curiosity surrounding the on-screen drama appears to have paid off, with Channel 4 now releasing official streaming stats for the first two weeks in the new scheduling pattern.
During those two weeks, streaming views per episode [0-7 days] achieved the highest levels seen in 2024 so far. During the stunt week, streaming views per episode increased +58% on the year to date average. For the time jump week, views per episode were even better, up +66% on the year to date average for Hollyoaks.
Meanwhile, four Hollyoaks episodes since the new scheduling pattern are in the top ten biggest streamed episodes ever for the soap.
Overall, Hollyoaks' online ratings are up by 23% this year compared to 2023, while there has been an increase of 45% year-on-year in the key 16-34 target audience.

Meanwhile, the show has also seen a rise in interest on social media – mostly led by Frankie and JJ Osborne's sibling sexual abuse story going viral on TikTok.
There has been a 97% increase in TikTok views, while the 'Full Episodes' playlist on YouTube has had 518,000 views so far this year.
Over the coming weeks, fans can expect more twists and turns as the mystery of Ethan Williams' recent death sparks a new chapter of drama for the Blake family and sends Sienna's character in a different direction.
Lucas Hay also returns to the village next week, just as it looks like Dillon Ray's big secret will be exposed.
Cast and crew have faced a difficult few months due to job cuts brought in to facilitate the reduction in episode output. However, Channel 4's most recent deal for Hollyoaks has secured the soap's future for the 30th anniversary in October 2025 and beyond.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
