Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has confirmed that it will air a huge road crash later this month, with the soap teasing a dramatic January stunt.

The official Hollyoaks Instagram account has shared a brand new teaser trailer, which features a brief glimpse at the shock scenes coming up later this month, and one of the big moments looks to feature a major car crash.

Mercedes McQueen, Warren Fox and Felix Westwood are all seen travelling in a car with panicked looks on their faces, suggesting that they will be the unlucky trio caught up in the accident as their love triangle continues. We also get a glimpse of the aftermath of the crash, with the smoking car seen lying on the ground.

It seems that Leela Lomax and Joel Dexter may also be on the scene in their roles as firefighters, while Ste Hay is seen looking at something in horror in the clip.

The teaser also offers a quick glimpse at another ongoing storyline, showing Sienna Blake in a wedding veil and Dilly Harcourt looking very distressed, as Dilly and her secret husband Rafe's plot to con Sienna comes to a head.

The full trailer will be released later, but the teaser has already got fans very excited. Joel actor Rory Douglas-Speed also built the anticipation, as he shared the clip on X and wrote, "Theres never been a better time to start/restart watching this show btw. So excited for everyone to watch what we've got coming".

He added that fans will "not be disappointed" by the upcoming drama.

Diane Hutchinson star Alex Fletcher exclusively confirmed to Digital Spy last year that the soap would be airing a huge stunt involving several characters in January, and she teased that the plot will "go in different directions".

"What is amazing is that it links everybody in, it'll be different stories and it opens up different cans of worms all over the shop," she said.

"There is almost too much going on to be honest, but it's brilliant. We had a chat last night with our producer, and I was like, 'Are you joking? Really?' She was saying, 'We've got this and this and this,' and it's just so exciting."

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
