Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Wednesday's episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Thursday.
Hollyoaks has aired a dramatic new twist in the Rayne Royce death storyline.
In tonight's (September 27) episode, Romeo Nightingale, Lacey Lloyd and Nadira Valli arrived back at their shared house and struggled to deal with their emotions.
Lacey, in particular, got upset at how the last thing she said to Rayne was that she wished she was dead — but later wondered if they were really best friends or if it was pretend, especially considering Rayne let Lacey think Brent was dead when he wasn't.

Nadira opened up about taking the money out of Rafe Harcourt's business account on Rayne's advice, and Lacey's reaction caused Nadira to accuse her housemate of thinking she killed Rayne.

"I didn't say that," Lacey protested, but Nadira replied: "You didn't need to. It's written all over your face."
They soon started talking again when Nadira found Rayne's laptop and asked Lacey, who knew all of Rayne's logins, to go looking for clues. Nadira then wondered if Rayne lied about not having money in order to manipulate her, too.
Before long, Lacey found a video titled 'Peri & Rayne School Audition'. But before they could watch it, Romeo barged in and called them "disgusting" for going through Rayne's things less than a day after she died.

Although the girls tried to get Romeo to watch it, he stormed out, leaving the couple to watch it together.
To their shock, the clip featured a young Peri Lomax and Rayne (then known as Louise) auditioning for a school play... with Peri bullying Rayne both physically and verbally.
What will this mean for the mystery of who killed Rayne?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
