Hollyoaks' Norma Crow discovers Ella's shocking Warren theory

Hollyoaks is continuing its storyline involving Ella Richardson and the mystery around her biological father, with Warren Fox right at the centre of the drama.

Early in the tonight's episode (August 7), Warren confronted Norma Crow over the fake delivery job that she made him and Mercedes carry out. Norma explained that the job was to keep Warren out of the way while Terry Smart was back in town.

Norma assured her son that Terry was gone for good and even went one step further — she asked to start up a legitimate business with Warren. Norma explained that as she grows closer to Warren, she feels the absence of his sister Katy more.

Later, Norma and Warren spoke to Sienna and Ethan, revealing that they would be their new business partners since Grace is stuck in prison. Eventually, they all agreed to cancel Ella’s party at The Loft.

Ella is devastated but Warren and Norma stuck to their guns and taunted her. Ella lashed out at Warren and smashed a bottle on the floor, calling him an “angry,” “horrible” man. Norma was taken aback by the dramatic reaction from Ella but Warren shrugs it off as the behaviour of an “hormonal teenager.”

Norma, however, was intent on finding out the truth and followed Ella home. Ella vented her frustrations to a sleeping Cindy, explaining: “It’s all I can think about. Warren Fox is my dad.”

Norma interrupted her, asking: “He’s your what? Are you saying that you’re my granddaughter?”

Ella stormed out but Norma followed her once more, assuring her that she wasn't angry with her — she just wanted to know the truth. "My mum had a thing with Warren around the time I was born. She said he was like a stepdad to me for a while and he used to push me in my buggy by the pond," Ella explained.

Norma asked Ella if she was 100% sure she was Warren’s daughter, to which Ella replied that she isn’t so sure anymore as she doesn’t think they are anything alike. But Norma said she saw the “Crow fire” in Ella’s eyes during the teenager’s rant in The Loft.

Ella, nervous, asked Norma to keep it a secret for the time being but Norma said that Warren has a right to know. "If you are Warren Fox’s daughter, nobody will ever reject you again," Norma said. "Happy birthday, sweetheart. Tomorrow will be your first day as Ella Fox."

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
