Hollyoaks aired a shock tonight, with Romeo Nightingale and Peri Lomax sharing a kiss.
The pair have grown closer since the passing of Romeo's sister and Peri's girlfriend Juliet, with their burgeoning relationship making Rayne jealous.
In tonight's (June 22) episode, Romeo was excited at Peri's impending return after visiting Sid, making girlfriend Rayne all the more frustrated with the lack of attention.

As Peri returned to the village, Romeo and Rayne were there to greet her, although the former's demeanour was palpably friendlier. Rayne's disposition even drew the attention of housemate Lacey, who insisted that she needed to give Romeo space.

As the group ran through the preparations for Juliet's funeral, the group reminisced as they went through a selection of pictures, but Peri became overwhelmed by emotion and headed off - with Romeo following to comfort her, much to Rayne's annoyance.
The pair then shared a tender moment in the park, with Peri admitting that everything reminded her of Juliet. She tearfully asked what happens to "people who find the one and lose them", sharing a hug with Romeo as they grieved together.
Romeo later confided to Peri that he felt as if his parents couldn't look him in the eye for fear of being a reminder of Juliet, with Peri reassuring him that grief affected people in different ways.

Thanking her for her words, Romeo then shockingly kissed a startled Peri, with the credits rolling as the pair had to come to terms with what had just happened…
Elsewhere in the episode, Felix and Mercedes reconciled in the post-credits scene, but he was still harbouring a secret over his partnership with Warren.
It was also a chaotic episode for Sienna in her bid to woo Rafe, with the shooting event nearly ending in disaster as she fired a gun dangerously close to his dog. After making amends with an apology, she uncovered a contact card for a substance support centre in Rafe's car - has she discovered information to use against him in her scheme?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
